Products - Heaters for your Home

Ehrhart Propane & Oil has a wide-variety of heaters, whether you are just looking for simple utility or a really gorgeous hearth product, and everything in between.

The very first and most important step is to determine the size of the heater you want. Heaters are rated in BTUs. A BTU is a measure of potential heat output. The most accurate way to determine the BTUs you need is to have a professional contractor perform a heat loss calculation. However, we have a rule of thumb, which works really well... Take the volume of your room (length times width times height) and multiply that by 5 for really good insulation, 10 for almost no insulation, or somewhere in the middle for average insulation.

Now that you know your BTU needs, you need to select a venting style. We have a venting primer which can help you with that.

The last step is to select the heater you want.

Vent-Free Room Heaters - from 10,000 BTU to 30,000 BTU
Direct Vent Room Heaters - from 10,000 BTU to 35,000 BTU
High Efficiency Direct Vent Room Heaters - from 12,000 BTU to 36,000 BTU
Natural Vent Room Heaters - from 25,000 BTU to 65,000 BTU
Fireplaces - from 20,000 BTU to 40,000 BTU
Cast Iron Stoves - from 20,000 BTU to 40,000 BTU
